January 2019 in Iconic Underground Magazine an All Time Top 50 DJ’s poll was voted by readers and DJ Nipper was placed sixth.

In the latter half of the 1980’s, Nipper was one of the pioneers of the Manchester House Music Scene along with Sasha, Laurent Garnier,

Justin Robertson, Graeme Park, Mike Pickering, Steve Williams, 808 State DJs and Jon DaSilva.

Nipper was also support DJ for Dance Bands such as…808 State, Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, Prodigy, N–Joi, Shades Of Rhythm,

Dream Frequency, The Shamen, Bassheads, and Evolution.

DJ’d at famous Manchester clubs – The Man Alive, The Hacienda, Konspiracy and Thunderdome, plus UK clubs such as Shelley’s, Hackett’s,

Shadoo, Quadrant Park, The Eclipse, Turnmills, Cream, Sterns, Rain Dance, Spectrum, Perception, Energy and many more.

In 1991 he embarked on his recording career first releasing two tracks “Nightmare” and “Devastating Beat Creator” on Warp Records under

the pseudonym “Kid Unknown” – the last track was voted number 3 in the All-time Hardcore Chart in Muzik Magazine.

Nipper set up LCD Records in 1998 with his partner Ian Bland (Dream Frequency) going on to successfully release 9 singles including

“Sanctuary” and “Do You Believe” as Dejure and “Heaven and Earth” as Red.

Other tracks Recorded,  include for Fluid Recordings UK: “6 Mile Hike” as DJ Nipper and “The Amulet” as Basilica.

On his 2002 debut Album “Air Drawn Dagger”, DJ Sasha credited DJ Nipper as one of his inspirational figures.

In all Nipper has had to date: Six – Top 75 UK hits.
